- February 15, 2013. During a cross-country flight the aircraft experienced a total loss of power and the pilot was forced to make an off-field landing. The aircraft landed in a carrot field and tore the landing gear from the aircraft. (NTSB Report WPR13LA125)
Despite the Navion's ability to land on unprepared airstrips, the harrows of a carrot farm destroyed this once wonderful flying machine. Thankfully the pilot wasn't seriously injured.
